Why are so many people set on the idea that Ron will betray Harry or
have another huge fight, causing them to not be friends anymore?
Admitedly, I like Ron, he's one of my favorite characters, but I
still have a few reasons why this type of situation is unlikely.

 1. Won't Harry have enough to go through in the next two books
without losing his best friend to a stupid fight? it's a fact that
there are more deaths on the way, including (most likely) Dumbledore.
a guy has to have someone to help him through it all, otherwise
Harry's life will be horrible once the war is over.

 2. I just don't think ron has it in him to become a dark wizard.
yes, he's prone to jealousy and they could tempt him with all sorts
of things that he wants, but would he really accept it? Ron is not
like Pettigrew - Pettigrew's friends treated him poorly (from what we
see in book 5), at least for a time...Ron doesn't get that type of
treatment. Why would he betray friends who he loves? Plus, there is
Percy's betrayal and clearly Ron doesn't want to be anything like
Percy.

 3. Harry and Ron already had one big fight in 4th year. If I
remember right, they didn't speak for months. I, unfortunately, have
had that kind of fight, full of truly hurt feelings and lots of
anger, and now that my friend and I resolved the argument, I can
safely say I will never fight like that with her again. if someone is
important enough for you to work through a fight like that (granted,
Harry and Ron forgave each other pretty easily) you don't want to do
it again.

Sorry this is so long, but I'm late for work
