That is not exactly what she said. JKR was very unclear about whether 
Snape was/is/will be in love. She just said we will find out. My 
guess is that he was/is in love. I believe he was/is one of the 
married teachers. I personally believe it was Dumbledore, McGonagall, 
and Snape. I also don't believe any of the teachers are married to 
each other. Only time will tell.

One of our internet correspondents wondered if Snape is going to fall 
in love. 
(JKR laughs) Who on earth would want Snape in love with them? That's 
a very horrible idea. 
There's an important kind of redemptive pattern to Snape
He, um, there's so much I wish I could say to you, and I can't 
because it would ruin. I promise you, whoever asked that question, 
can I just say to you that I'm slightly stunned that you've said that 
and you'll find out why I'm so stunned if you read Book 7. That's all 
I'm going to say.
