I think the theme of broken noses throught the books is interesting.
I just have one criticism of your Snape/Dumbledore theory. The first
being that the man had a hooked nose, not a crooked one. Also, I
think I recall in one of the books that Dumbledore's nose looks like
it had been broken many times, so his crooked nose wouldn't be to
genetics. I may be wrong about that though, I can't find it to check.
One thing that I thought was interesting, was that percy broke his
nose in Goblet while fighting the Death Eaters. I know its in retro-
spect, but the phrase "I smell a rat." Pettigrew was Percy's rat and
Percy had been fooled by him.
