Though I enjoy reading all the theories everyone has on the series,
I don't understand why so many people are holding on to the
particular one of Voldemort making the wrong decision and perhaps
Neville will be his downfall, not Harry. Here are three of my
reasons for not going along with this ride-
1. I'm all for Neville having his moment to shine and an opportunity
to avenge the cruelty his parents endured, more so than in OotP, yet
I doubt this will be it. The way I see it is, Neville will bear down
at least one of, if not all the DEs who was/were involved in his
parents' torture, not Voldemort himself.
2. If while I'm reading book 7, and Neville is the one to conquer
Voldemort, I will be sorely disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I like
Neville, but the series is called Harry Potter for a reason. Why
spend seven books putting our hero through so much crap, and then
decide it's someone else's destiny to do the 'greatest deed' in the
end.
3. It says so in the book. I mean, I know everything is not always
what they seem in JKR World and even Dumbledore could be wrong, but
when something that crucial is written point blank on the page, I
don't feel the need to question it.
Who knows, there is that possibility by the end of book 7 I'll be
eating my words, so we'll just have to wait and see. :)
