How could Lupin take the potion without Snape knowing, seeing as how
Snape has to brew it? To assume the Lupin as a full supply of
ingerdients and cauldron and everything hidden in his office is very
far-fetched. Now if Lupin did not take his potion in order to get all
his enemies in the Shack and kill them, he certainly couldn't control
the Dementors with an animal brain. Even if he had taken the potion,
as Sirus says in regards to turning into Padfoot while in prison, ther
is little compatiblity between animal mind and the Dementors. To
assume that the werewolf has advanced mind powers leads me to wonder
why Lupin would need the potion in the first place, because if he had
increased mind powers, he wouldn't be a danger to others. It's an
interesting theory but I'd have to call JKR a hack she makes yet
another member of James's friends a traitor.
