Why was Lupin prepared, and he clearly was, to kill Petting with Black? Why
would he then WANT to transform to free Petting? That's inconsistent. And
if S nape forgot to bring the potion, is he evil too? Were S nape and Lupin
the gunmen behind the grassy knoll then???
It sounds to me like working the details to accommodate a theory. I'm
pretty sure I would have forgotten my "potion" if my supposedly dead former
best friend was alive and my convicted killer former best friend had him
and a boy in his mouth and my dead best friend's kid who I've mentored all
year is chasing him. I think S nape was feeling the stress too. Also, the
moon hadn't come out yet when Lupin entered the tunnel. There wasn't a
visual reminder. As for in the shack, he was more intent on getting PP
apprehended and liberating Black. When Hemline and Harry were waiting for
everyone to come out during the time-turner scene, they indicated that it
was taking a while. In the shack, though, they lost track of time. It's
possible Lupin did too. At worst, hugely irresponsible. I don't see evil.
If he is, then S nape must be too.
