I have to agree with Lucchaser - often our imaginations are far more
powerful than a blow by blow description of something. We know what
is coming and our imagination supplies the rest. I think JKR did a
great job with that scene. We don't need everything described in
detail - our imaginations can do wonderful jobs filling in and I
think that was her purpose. You see the same technique in old films
where they fade away and let you figure out the rest (for some
reason the Maltese Falcon comes to mind....)
