I think you're wrong... it's true that a kiss between 35 year olds 
would be different than one between 13 year olds, but this isn't the 
case here - no matter who's reading, it's a kiss between a 15- and 
16-year-old...

...which I suspect JKR simply wasn't confident in her ability to 
accurately write.
