Okay, this is my first post. I've been trying to read earlier ones
but gave up when I found out that posts from a few days ago are
actually a thousand posts in the pasts. So, I'm simply going to
start with two BIG things that I think people would find
interesting. If they've been brought up before, I'm sorry, it was an
accident.
Okay, maybe this first thing isn't so big, but how often does
Dumbledore speak when performing magic? During the battle with
Voldemort Dumbledore never says a single spell, but Harry can feel
the magic eminating from him. Is this an indicator of how powerful
some magicians are? The only thing he does say a spell for (as far
as I can tell) is the Portkey spell ('Portus'). Is the portkey spell
too complex even for Dumbledore?
I hated that Sirius died. I really did. He was deeply cool and
thought that even though he and Tonks were second cousins they would
end up together (it's a first cousin hook-up that is
illegal/genetically unsafe). But I caught on that he would be the
one to go, and he was. I've read a few posts concerning the 'is
Sirius really dead?' ship, and suddenly made the connection in my
mind.
Remember Reepicheep in the Narnia series? How he travelled to
Aslan's Country in his little skin boat?
(waits for lightbulbs to turn on)
Sirius isn't 'dead' in the sense of the word. He was translated.
He's Moses. He's Elijiah. He's Reep. He's in Aslan's Country
(Heaven/Afterlife/?), but unlike everyone else there, he didn't taste
death.
