Now me (Cindy):
What makes you think Snape is racist? I haven't seen anything that
indicates this (apart from when he called Lilly a mudblood, but did
you ever think that he said it because he was hurt or humiliated -
people do say things that they don't necessarily mean when they are
hurt or angry).
Of course, being a Slytherin he may very well be a pureblood wizard,
which I believe he is, and if he was brought up in a situation where
his parents had similar views to that of Lucius Malfoy - well then I
can understand why he would have said this. But the man he has become
(working for the Order - a "blood traitor" as Sirius's mum would say -
proves that he has moved past this. Something I'd like to see Draco
Malfoy do, not that I think he will any time soon).
Arrogant? Snape? Snape is a Slytherin, full stop. And he isn'tthe only
one, he also isn't the worst. I love Slytherins, because they are
alone and against the whole school.
Sirius Black is arrogant, James Potter was arrogant - Snape is just
bitter, and I would be to, if I was in his shoes.
