I agree, in no point when reading the story did I think that this 
taunting did not offend Sirius. Sirius' death and his life at 
Grimmauld Place has a lot of holes. One of them is when Harry is 
reading about those herbs that make people confuse and cause them to 
be reckless. Harry thinks "Hermione says Sirius has been acting 
reckless" before drifting off to sleep. So Snape's comments 
definitely brought out the recklessness in Sirius. I see no purpose 
for this passage to be mentioned at all, unless its important. It 
also plays into my theory that there is a mole in the order and that 
mole is someone who 'volunteered' to be part of harry's guard.

However, if someone has been slipping herbs to Sirius, I want them 
brought to justice, the MOST severe. Oh and I don't think it was 
creature because Sirius was acting reckless before Christmas and I 
don't think he would have done it of his own accord.
