Cheers to everyone taking an interest in HPforGrownups once again, well, as I was saying, now that most of the people it seems that Snape hates, that are connected to Harry, are dead, maybe he will lighten up. When McGonagall (sp?) said that she would make sure Harry became an auror if it was the last thing she did. For some reason maybe Harry will do all right on all of his O.W.L.s or for some reason Harry will get back 12 O.W.L.s for some strange reasons, maybe cause the Ministry put so much strain on him, and now that they know he wasn't lying, they sort of give him a treat.
I think that although Fudge screwed up, Harry and him will still be on the same side. Fudge was very cordial and fatherlike to Harry in the second and third books, and I think that he will feel bad and finally show more affection to Harry for telling the truth. Maybe the Minitry will take the Guardianship of Harry. I am wondering what measures the WW will go at at the rise of the second war. Firenze had said that there is only a brief time that the Wizards are living in between the two wars, meaning that the end of Wizardkind is being predicted. We know, that what the centuars see is not always true, but I feel that regardless of what the planets foretell, Harry and his crew still have the option of changing the future. For instance, in Harry's first Divination finals, Harry told of Buckbeaks escape. People might take that as a sign that he is psychic, but I feel it just means that he has a drive to do what he feels, that he predicts his own future.
Now on to the Wealey brothers. They remind me of the rats from the movie Chicken Run, if anyone here has seen it. They seem to be a couple of my favorite characters, cause it contrasts the way that we think of real like, and compare the WW to real life, but in reality (or simply in the book) they are just characters. Mind you, they owe Harry their shop. 1000Galeons is a lot of money. Mind you, Harry might inherit Sirius' gold and house, and will double his stash, so he doesn't need it, but I don't think that Harry is getting the thanks he deserves. I'd expect them to have bought him a dragon suit as well. I don't care if they become millionaires, they would never have done anything without Harry.
Harry will get back onto the Quidditch team, he will be captain. He will still not be prefect. Ginny will be a chaser on the team. Hermoine will get top O.W.L.s. Harry will get the option of teaching DaDA, or at least start his own club. Grawp will become civilized and speak and a Yorkshire accent when we come back to the book.
What Lupin said to Molly when she thought that if she and Arthur were killed, who would take care of her childer, well, Harry has a makeshift family that consists of Tonks (who is his cousin once removed through guradianship of Sirius), Moody who is a really cool uncle, Lupin the werewolf teacher, the Weasleys already consider him family, any like Dumbledore said, any family would have been willing to take Harry in and raise him as their own child.
The St. Mungo story with Neville and his parents, I feel is nothing more than a reason to make us feel bad for him, and understand what he goes through. I think people are pushing the Droobles Best blowing gum think way out of proportion. Neville loves his parents, but pities them and himself. He has determination that makes me want to cry when I read the books, all of them. But it's not just the desire to cry that he is feeling, not what I feel for him, it's that there is a well of hate, shame, and loneliness that only Harry might be able to match. He is in Gryffindor for a reason, and he has shown bravery time and time again.
Luna and Tonks were introduced rather abruptly, but that is Rowling's writing style and I really don't have a problem with it. I call this writing style a "by the way", which is mostly used in movies. They usualy slip something in that you would otherwise miss if it wasn't for the complete knowledge of the book. However, Rowling reserves the right to add in these "by the ways" if she wants to. Adding The Quibber is a by the way there is another literary source in the wizarding world that Harry didn't notice at first. I guess we are sorta growing wiht Harry and he is missing a lot of information, and it is still taking him a while to pick up the missing information.
All for today folks,
Tzvi of Brooklyn
