Toad:
I love this topic. Snipping from post 66879:

I found some interesting info on the origins and symbolism behind
Easter eggs at this site:
http://www.emmanuelfellowship.org/easter/secular/easteregg.html
This caught my attention: "One legend concerns the Virgin Mary. It
tells of the time Mary gave eggs to the soldiers at the cross. She
entreated them to be less cruel and she wept. The tears of Mary fell
upon the eggs, spotting them with dots of brilliant color". Well,
Harry wept. I couldn't make much of it from there, though. The egg
as a symbol of fertility seems more likely.
The golden snitch with wings also reminds me of cupid.
Toad (I'm seeing snitches in my sleep)
