Yes, of course. I completely agree with you. However, in the post I
was replying to, the question arose: "Why are people so critical of
Dumbledore, esp. in regards to Sirius?" My (rather wordy) answer was:
"Because I don't think much of his management skills. And here's
why..." That still holds true, whether Dumbledore's flaws are
necessary to move the plot forward (which they are) or not.

We've been shown some of Voldemort's weaknesses in canon; I think that
it's interesting to identify/evaluate Dumbledore's flaws as well. I
believe that one of these flaws is how he "manages" the people he
depends upon in the fight against Voldemort. That's pretty much all I
meant by my comments.
