Observation from Stormbringer43:

Hi Anne, 
I think you are mistaken with regard to corporeal patronuses, when 
you wrote, "..the one professor was so impressed that he could do a 
corporeal patronus ... but Cho and Hermione and several others could 
also do one by the end of the book..."  I went back to OOP, Amer. 
Ed., pages 606-607.  ONLY Cho and Hermione had produced corporeal 
patronuses.  

I think this is a clue to JKR's future development of Cho, whom we 
may find is quite a formidable sorceress, since the only DA members - 
which included several 7th years - who are known to be capable of 
producing full patronuses were Cho, Harry, and Hermione.  Although 
Miss Chang treats her Swan patronus lightly, this may be another JKR 
red herring.  A corporeal patronus puts Cho arguably in the same 
echelon with the two who are/will be the most powerful wizards of 
their age.  I suspect Harry and Cho are better met than JKR has 
revealed thus far.
