I missed the message this was said in, so i'll reply here. I was
referring to the meta-discussion on whether the original topic belonged
on the hpfgu-movies list, as being off-topic.

but the list policy isn't BECAUSE "it's not canon"... the list policy
simple _is_. it's a way to divide the two lists' overlapping material
using the simplest possible test. allow me to quote:
Is your message...
Movie-related? Book-movie comparison? Send it to HPFGU-Movie.
Referencing *only* the books? Send it to HPforGrownups.
this thread quite clearly falls into the former category.

this thread is quite clearly dependent on the movies, and the rule,
regardless of whether i may or may not agree with it, is THERE.
