Hello!

My name is Slavo. I come from Slovakia, Central Europe. This is my first
post to this group.
I'm new here, so pardon me, if I say something that was already
discussed.
And, I apologize about my English (self teach... :o(( ). I can imagine
how it sounds
to native speaker and I working hard to improve it.

But to the matter... I'm trying to catch with "Voldemort must know about
Snape" thread:

The only thing that I can't figure out is why how can he be friends
with Malfoy (which he is) if LV knows about him. Either LV hasn't
told Malfoy about Snape, or, Snape and Malfoy are in on something
together, that has nothing to do with LV.

Why they would maintain that friendship after LV's fall from power is
anyone's guess - wouldn't Malfoy know that Snape was a spy, considering
the influence he had at the Ministry?

Snape had probably not reported directly to Voldemort. It was probably
only
through Lucius. Remember in GoF when LV said that Jorkins was not useful

to him any longer because her brain was so addled. He killed her after
she was
no longer of any use to him. I believe that LV kept Snape alive because
he is
still useful. Voldemort knows about Snape but they are both biding their
time
until they are of no use to each other any longer.

Well, I think that Snape (trying) play for both sides at same time. That
he pretend (to Order)
he's in Order and spying Death Eaters and also pretend (to Death Eaters)
that he's Death Eater
and spying Order for them.

Real question is if Snape already choose his true side or not. If he
pretend his loyality
just to one or to both sides. Maybe he choose to play on edge for now
and just later decide
to side with one who prevail - in best Slytherin tradition that save own
neck is first priority after all.

Of course nor Dumbledore nor Voldemort are stupid. I think they both
know about this,
and both let it as is for now. They both are excellent Legillimens and
most powerfull wizards.

Maybe Dumbledore really believes in the fact that Snape at end choose
good side and that fact
may save many things (and lifes) when end come, and Voldemort (who is
very strong with regards
to manipulating people) just thinks that such Snape's play may be
somewhat useful in future
(when ends come) for him, too. Or there may be even possibility that
Voldemort also firmly
believe, for some reason, that at end Snape choose his side, and this
move balance between him
and Dumbledore definitely in his favour.

Who knows, just idea. But it would be interesting development of Snape.
Definitely choose own side,
own destiny, will be definitely hardest test for him in his life
(especially if one may safely predict that
Voldemort can have some things - for blackmailing - on every
current/former DeathEater).

Thanks,
Slavo.
