The HP lexicon proposed an interresting theory ( see further details 
here http://www.hp-lexicon.org/aberforth.html). According to this 
excellent site, Aberforth would be The Hog's Head Barman and it is 
there that DD would have hidden. Indeed page 659 of US version is a 
very interresting quote: "Well... no!' sobbed Hermione. 'We've tried 
the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley and the Three Broomsticks and even 
the Hog's Head..." 
"Idiot girl - Dumbledore won't be sitting in a pub when the whole 
Ministry's looking for him!' "
