Me:
I don't know.
When I first read all the posts about Percy being a deep-cover mole
for the Order, I was rolling my eyes and thinking "Give it up...will
you guys, pleeeease! Percy is *obviously* a first class prat and a
total loser. Just face the facts!" But, as I go through the book
more and more, it seems as if Percy's character has changed radically
in OoP, more even than Sirius or Harry's did. Yes, he was always a
pompous jerk, but remember when he forgot all his dignity and ran
into the lake to help pull out Harry and Ron after the second task?
How does that jibe with a guy who sends back his mother's Christmas
gift unopened and does not even visit his father in the hospital
after a near-fatal attack? Something seems wrong here.
Elle (who is softening a little to the Percy-As-Mole-For-Order Theory)
