Just an odd thought that came to me last night, as odd thoughts
frequently do.

What if...

What if Neville gets his new wand, and he and Harry are practicing
together in the newly reformed DA club, and by random chance, they
both cast a spell at the same time, and low and behold an arc of
golden light connects the two wands and the room is filled with the
Phoenix song?

What if...

What if Neville's new wand is a Phoenix feather wand? 
What if Neville's new wand has a feather from Fawkes?

What if...?????

...I don't know, I was hoping you would tell me.
