For that matter, all the DE's had to say was "Accio, wands," and
remove the wands from the disabled kids. It wouldn't have been as
exciting a fight scene if no one had weapons, now would it?
Do we really know if there is a code of honor regarding wands? I
don't remember reading anything about this.
Also, is there really only ONE wand per wizard or witch? True the
wand chooses the owner; I can imagine that when a wand is broken a
new one is obtained from Ollivander's through the same process as the
first one. It simply chooses its owner. It isn't reasonable to
believe that when a wand is broken that a witch or wizard is forever
disabled because their "one" wand is gone forever...doesn't make
sense.
For me, I'm dying to find out how Neville does when he obtains "his"
own wand. Me thinks this boy is going to show some new attitude and
leadership. This may be a little off topic, but I think his
grandmother knows about the prophecy and is doing everything she can
to protect him from LV. Turning Neville into bumbling, inept, lack
luster wizard is certainly a good disguise. I agree with others on
this board that Neville is under some sort of memory spell. My
memory's shot (old age tends to do that), but it's in tip-top shape
compared to Neville's. At any rate, Neville's DADA skills have to
improve once he has a new wand...unless someone curses it...oh, dear!
