The Black Veil

I was re-reading Northanger Abbey recently and was brought up short 
bythis quotation: 
"I would not tell you what is behind the black veil for the world!"
Knowing that JKR is fond of Jane Austen (Mrs. Norris is named after a 
particularly hateful character in Mansfield Park) I wondered if there 
was a connection. (Incidentally, I don't think you ever find out what 
WAS behind the black veil in Northanger Abbey)
