I have money, believe it or not, riding on this. Cindy
goaded me into betting against a friend that Lupin
would die in Book V.

Well, he did die. Just not permanently. :-)

I don't think Dumbledore will do a Gandalf, because of
that line in PS/SS, where he talks almost longingly of
death. Gandalf never did any of that.
