 Talisman responds:
I'm not familiar with the version where the Grail kills Perceval
(Galahad usually asks to be taken and gets his wish). But there are
many versions of the tale. Wolfram von Eschenback is the most
prominent source, having finished what Chretien de Troyes started.
(Sorry about the accent ague, you'll have to imagine it.) In
Wolfram's version, Perceval ends up the Grail King. An unlikely
ending for our Percy. Moreover, the Grail is called the -Lapis
Exilis-,which is also the name of the Philosopher's Stone. I don't
recall Percy being terribly helpful in that adventure, either.
In any event, I agree that unless something heavy knocks Percy off
his Fudge-Crouchian course, and soon, he is headed for a fall.
Awaiting the Borders midnight release,
Talisman
