cantoramy:
2. Watch the grammar! The *one* sentence that makes me want to throw
the book across the room is in GOF, UK pb, p. 496, when Crouch!Moody
is speaking to Harry and Ron about overcoming obstacles in the past.
"We helped," Ron said quickly. "Me and Hermione helped." *Me and
Hermione*? Who ignored that?

Taryn:
I think it would've been far more far-fetched to have a 14-year-old speaking perfect grammar. The "me and someone else" is a common mistake for "someone else and I" in speaking. I wouldn't think that editors would touch much in /dialogue/, since people don't speak perfectly.
