Finwitch:
We've seen this - sort of. In the second task, when Harry arrives
first - believing that if he doesn't save the one he cares most
within an hour. Harry might have succeeded in saving only Ron and
been the first. However, he insisted on saving them ALL. (staying
longer than an hour!) Harry wouldn't be bothered with choosing one
friend over other (Fleur's sister being a stranger on top of that).
Cedric didn't act so but says later that he, too, should have stayed
to help.

Which friend you'll save, Harry? Ron or Hermione?
Harry'd say: BOTH. Even if we all die in the process.
A question to ponder:
Is a decision not to choose also a choice?

Finwitch:

I like it, too - the thought has crossed my mind. It also explains
how Harry heard his father's voice, heard his mother - and then
*sees* green light from the Killing Curse.

Perhaps green eyes (that reflect green light, letting none in) is the
very thing that reflectes back Voldemort's curse? It could explain
why Voldemort was reluctant to kill Lily. That he at least
*suspected* it.

And even if Lily wasn't short-sighted, it doesn't mean that when her
eyes transfer into Harry's they'll remain as good, well-seeing eyes.
Short-sightedness might have been additional protection against
deadly light as the light doesn't reach the bottom of the eye-ball.

Further, Harry might have been blind before the loving Mom gave him
her eyes, or just during the process of his parents dying. (Did Lily
*plan* the eye-change?)

First thing Harry saw with Lily's eyes, was Green Light, the Green
Light that tried to kill him. It's also the only thing of the night
Harry remembers to have SEEN. He heard Voldemort's evil laughter, the
discussion between Mom and the foe, the James(And I do believe it was
James): Take Harry to safety, I will hold him back.
