I have heard that the death of Rowling's mother has had a profound effect on
the course of the series. It has therefore been suggested that Mrs. Weasley
will be the one to die. Personally I think it will be Ginny. Rowling said
that COS has a lot of foreshadowing. Well, when Harry enters the Chamber of
Secrets, whom does he find almost dead? Ginny. Plus, Rowling said that Ginny
will be a major character in book 5, and that a major character will die.
She said something similar before book 4 came out. Cedric was a major
character and he died. Up till then he had only been briefly mentioned in
book 3. Ginny hasn't had a major roll yet (though bigger than Cedric). We
have also seen that she is already suseptable to Voldemort and I have a
feeling he will use her again to get to Harry.
