SNIP further detail.
Hmm, but she says that a "couple" of people have skirted it. The idea of Harry and/or James as the Heir of Gryffindor has been suggested by so many people that she'd have to up that number quite considerably, it seems to be one of the most popular beliefs about the books. So while I think it is most definitely possible that being the heir of Gryffindor has something to do with the overall plot line I don't think it's quite that simple. I don't think it has much to do directly with the ending, it could, say, be one of the details of the ending but not a main key factor.
Sorry, I seem to be on of the people that really hates the idea of Harry as the heir (of ANY of the founders) so I'm trying to calm myself down cos although I hate it, it does have a kinda inevitable feeling to it. One of the problems with not liking a theory but it's supports have too much evidence.
