1. Sirius was a HORRIBLE choice for the kill-off. That really made me upset.
He's only been a major player in one other book, and just when she finally
starts to develop him, bam, he's gone. While I'm glad that it wasn't any of the
Weasleys (they're my favorites) or HRH/Dumbledore, I still think there could
have been better choices. Why kill off all 3 of Harry's parental figures?

2. The prophesy was a bit "duh," I think. Though I DID enjoy the inclusion of
the whole "Neville was a possibility" thing. But, now it makes me think that
there's no guessing whether or not Harry dies because, if he died, then the
books would be left with the whole world being screwed over, so there's pretty
much no way she could have Harry die.

3. I thought the Cho thing was kind of pointless and icky (due to the fact that
she'd been with Cedric a whopping 6 months earlier). I'd hoped for more
Ron/Hermione development.

4. I thought Porfessor Umbridge and all the stuff with the MoM was GREAT.
She was a great villain. All the High Inquisitor stuff got me really involved,
and the Percy issue was good, too.

5. I wish that there would have been more character development overall.
The only person that I really felt was considerably fleshed out more was
Sirius, and look what good that did us. Going along with that, there wasn't
much description of the actual Order of the Phoenix, either.

So, overall, I really did enjoy the book a lot (though I prefer PoA and GoF over
it). I'm glad that the storyline got a big advancement, but I felt like this wasn't
as well-written as the others. Just for one example, the battle scene at the
end was nothing as visually inspiring as the final scene in GoF. I didn't really
feel like I was at the MoM watching the scene, like I have in the other 4 books.
But, like I said, overall, I really liked OOP, a bit disappointed with the loss of
Sirius, but eagerly anticipating HP VI!!!!
