Nobody said that. But Harry was so worried about
saving Sirius that he didn't listen to Hermione. She
was dead right. I knew it as soon as she spoke.

IIRC, Harry knew it was possible that Voldemort was on
to his knowing Voldemort's thoughts and was aware that
it could be used for Voldemort to show him things that
were not real. And what he saw made no sense. And
empty MOM? I could understand him flying off and
doing something and not realizing the logic didn't
work.

But after Hermione showed him why it was trap, he
should have at least considered it.

After that point in the book I was kinda annoyed. I
knew it was a trap and what they were doing was
useless, so that didn't exactly make my cheer them on
or be sympathetic. I just sat there thinking how
stupid they were. Don't get me wrong, they were
brave, but it just felt pointless.

If Harry had just said "I know it's probably a trap,
but I have to go" I'd have had tons more respect. But
he was so sure he was right that he didn't bother to
consider the facts.
