see Sirius described his Great-great-grandfather, Phineas Nigellus,
as being the "least popular headmaster Hogwarts ever had" and he's
part of Sirius's 'mudblood/half-breed hating' family yet I found that
I kinda liked him and that when the book describes his finding out
about Sirius's death and then Harry speculating on him going to every
picture in the house calling for Sirius, I actually felt for him. He
seemed to only pretend that he didn't care about Sirius (unlike
Sirius's Mother) but I'm just a bit worried there's something wrong
with me if I like and feel for him when he's supposed to be
unpopular. There was just something incredibly funny about his
(paraphrase) "this is why I didn't want to be a teacher" line but
that could be connected to the fact that my mum is a teacher.

Muppets in my head whenever they mentioned Sirius's mum screaming
when there was a loud noise made. I'm not sure why though as I
haven't watched anything connected to the Muppets in the last 4 years
and so can't quite finish the connection. Oh well.

Maybe he reminded you of those grumpy old men muppets who were in the
space above the theatre making snide comments about the "action" down
below. I did like Phineas some. If I recall correctly, wasn't he in
Dumbledore's chamber when the spell was put on Fudge and Company? he
could've ratted Dumbledore out when they awoke--or maybe he was still
off on his task?
I like MacGonnagal, too, mainly b/c she is rather brusque, like
Phineas. And look how great that worked with Evil Toad Woman! (Be
chasing behind her too if her walking stick hadn't gotten
taken...) :)

before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as
Fred and George wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the
students below and sped out of the open doors into a glorious sunset.
