But did he actually see them?  Or could he just feel them?  I know that
Muggles aren't normally supposed to see them, although they can feel in
their own way their presence (depression).  On the other hand, Dementors
don't try to suck out the soul of most Muggles.  But Dudley could not see
them until they were right in his face, and maybe not even then.  He says
how he felt when he relates the experience, but not what he saw under the
hood, making me think he didn't see anything (or his eyes were tightly
shut).
