well.. I have to say that I always thought snape exhagerated james's 
arrogance, but from that one scene I really felt sorry for snape. I 
might have been just as bitter to james's son if he had done that to 
me...
That's what i love about the new book: you learn much more about 
character's backgrounds and loyalties (ie, percy and fudge)...
what a great book :)
