The book was amazing, but it left me with one big question:
how come Harry didnt see the thestrals before. I know I have heard about the 
supposedly "horseless" carriages in previous books, and it is never mentioned 
that Harry saw the Thestrals before even though Harry had witnessed the death 
of his mother. Luna had seen the thestrals since she started at hogwarts. 
There are three possibilites as I see it 1) it is a simple flint 2) harry looked 
away when his mom died 3) he did not in fact witness the death of his mother.  
The first two possibilities are rather uninteresting. But the third could be 
very intersting. Maybe Lilly did not die when we thought she did ar Godrics 
Hollow, or maybe Harry was not there for the actual death. Maybe Harry was taken 
away by someone at that moment, someone like snape perhaps.  I don't know, I 
havent had much time to think it through, but its interesting.
