I agree.  That's one of the things that's bothering me now.  So much 
is made of 'death not being the worst', most people not being ghosts 
because they're not afraid to die, and Harry even wanting to die 
when Voldemort is possessing him.   Not to mention that now Harry 
knows (or strongly suspects) that Sirius, and his parents, are on 
the other side of that veil.  I can see Harry vanguishing Voldemort -
 I can't believe that won't happen, whether it's Harry or somebody 
else (after all, no prophecy is ever guaranteed true, didn't Firenze 
tell us so?) - but then Harry deciding it's time to join up with 
those that have gone before (including all those yet to die in books 
6 & 7).
  Interesting bit about the veil, btw (assuming I'm interpreting it 
correctly) - it's a common image in mysticism of the hiding of this 
world from the next (post-death).  I remember some lines I had in a 
Halloween play - "this time of year, the veil between this world and 
the next is lifted", or something to that effect.
