... is there any post here that ISN'T a spoiler? :)

anyway - i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what was snape's
background... is he muggle born or pure blood? one would expect him to
be a pure blood, but now i'm not so sure... and i don't remember the
surname "snape" anywhere on the black's tapestry... 

also, if the b;acks were so ... shall we say "well-connected" to the
darker side of the WW - wouldn't it stand to say that the malfoys
would know where it is? (what, lucius never had dinner at the inlaws?)

just wondering if any one knows, since i can't remember... and it
might be imporant later...
