As I was looking back over a few parts of OOP today, I noticed something
about the scene where Draco walks in on the Occlumency lesson in chapter
28: is it possible that Draco knows (or will figure out) that what was
going on in Snape's office had nothing to do with Potions, remedial or
otherwise?

Upon opening the door to Snape's office, Draco sees Harry and Snape
standing with their wands out. We know Snape's wand is raised; it's
specifically mentioned that he lowers it (p638, US edition). Have wands
*ever* been used in Snape's Potions classes? I can't recall any instances
offhand; please correct me if I'm forgetting something. In fact, one of
the first things Snape tells his class in SS/PS is "As there is little
foolish wand-waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic"
(p137 in my copy of SS). As far as I can tell, there's no cauldron or other
potions equipment at the ready to back up the Remedial Potions cover story.

Then there's this line, as Draco leaves Snape's office: "Malfoy mouthed
*'Remedial Potions?'* at Harry behind Snape's back before following him."
(p 639, US edition) That question mark...has Draco snapped out of his glee
at hearing about Harry's need for tutoring and is starting to see how fishy
the situation looks? Even if he isn't suspicious at that point, Draco's no
Crabbe or Goyle. Surely it'll hit him at some point how odd the situation
was.

Then there's Sirius' comment about Snape being Lucius Malfoy's lapdog
(p520, US edition). If Draco becomes suspicious of Snape and passes that
info along to his family, I worry that it'll cause a setback in Snape's
work for the Order, whatever the particulars of that may be.
