I don't know if Snape is pure Slytherin.  He is rather brave, and he 
does have quite a bit of loyalty.  The idea that he does indeed try 
to help Harry, even after Harry sees his memories---Is he really pure 
Slytherin?????
No idea on this end...just a question.
