%-} I'm still reeling. Half in shock. No details, I promised in the subject, but that's okay -- I'm
hardly coherent right now, anyway, to share any details.
It was quite the interesting ride-- er, read. A very different experience from any other novel I've
ever read, because for no other book have I been immersed in discussions, debates, theories,
or point-by-point speculations as I have been for this one. It really made a HUGE difference in
how I read it, too. I felt prepared for just about anything she'd throw at us, because we'd
touched on just about EVERYTHING she could POSSIBLY toss our way, right? Well, yes,
and yet . . . no. For all the rampant ideas flying around the list, there were still surprises, and
that in itself surprised me! :) With all we'd posted (we as a group, not that I've really
contributed much, myself), we STILL missed a trick or two. Thank GOD for that!
I found myself missing characters who I'd thought would be more a part of things, but there's
still time, of course, for them to come into play. I was slightly saddened to see the demise of
some of the more . . . interesting, shall we say? ships in the bay, though not all of them
deemed defunct right now need STAY that way. I've got some ideas percolating in my battered
and bruised brain (did I mention it was quite the ride?), that, as soon as I figure 'em out more,
I'll brave the waters and post them here. In the meantime . . . it's finally time for some sleep!
