I agree but I also think with Luna's remark perhaps Harry will find a
way to walk through the veil, maybe not. But I really like this first
indication of spirituality in the Wizarding World, some sort of
afterlife.

Luckily, Voldemort can't extract the prophecy from Trelawny

I think this is why she is teaching there. Voldemort may not know she
won't remember, thus she is at risk. Why else would Dumbledore be
soooo adament that she remain at Hogwarts when Inquisitor fires her
and he keeps her on when he has a much more skilled teacher in the
centaur.

Oddly enough I never really thought about its return, I guess I
assumed that the real Mad Eye Moody gave it back to Harry.

I have a bad feeling that Ron and Hermione may be able to see the
thestrals by the end of book.
Yeah, with a war on I'm afraid that Lupin's (I think) remark that
there are no guarantees when Molly sees the boggart turn into her
dead family may be accurate. There are just too many Weasley's for
the statistics to be good.

I don't think Harry is capable of killing Voldemort yet, if he ever
will be. He wasn't able to hurt the woman who murdered his godfather.
Personally I don't think the resolution of the prophecy is going to
be that simple. Plus if he had killed Voldemort then, there would not
be two more books.

Again, I would love to know what plot purpose JKR had in killing
Sirius. I had it pegged for Dumbledore because of the opportunity for
plot development when Harry has to stand on his own. That also plays
into the loss of Sirius. Now who will Harry go to with problems he
can't go to Dumbledore about, problems that will only get worse as he
matures. And I'm not just talking about life and death, but love,
bullies, and NEWTS. I thought JKR did a wonderful job with his
reaction. My brother was 15 when our parents split up and then when
he family friend who had become a father figure passed away and his
reaction was anger at everything. I think that endeared me to Harry
in book 5,his natural reaction of anger to all that was happening
around him. Sirius death gave outlet for that character development.
And I also think it will be hard for Harry to trust Dumbeldore now.
Just my thoughts.
