It appeared to me that in OotP, Snape 'appeared' with Harry *in* the 
Pensieve memory and manhandled him out.  This is also what happened 
when Harry saw DD's memory in GoF.  in GoF, DD knew what memory 
Harry was experiencing, and I got the impression the same was true 
for Snape.
