I don't know, I just can't see "Harry Potter" not only "the boy who 
lived," but the hero of the entire series, growing up just to get 
some joe-job. Fine, an auror is prestigious, but there are quite a 
few aurors around. And he's definitely not going to be a teacher at 
Hogwarts. He will not have gone through 7 books of epic adventure 
and heroics just to become a teacher! 

I feel that with Harry's aura of heroics and specialness, he just 
can't grow up to do something conventional. Like, either he'll die 
gloriously, be Minister of Magic, or something similarly 
spectacular.
