I think you might be half right.  I don't think it will be in book 6.

didn't make Harry a prefect cuz he's already got too much on his plate,
never mind a teacher.

However, didn't JKR say that one the students would come back as a
teacher
after school is over?  Makes sense to me that Harry will be the final
DADA
teacher who actually stays (and probably eventually becomes Headmaster).
He's said Hogwarts has always been his only home.  I absolutely, under
no
circumstances, believe Harry will die at the end of this.  This is good
vs.
evil and I just don't see JKR killing her hero and doing that to the
millions of kids who follow this.  Just don't see it.  I do think he'll
end
up at Hogwarts as the DADA teacher who actually keeps teaching!

ME: I never really liked that idea before... but I do now. (you are
welcome, Neroon ;) ) It really makes sense now in the context of D.A. I
am soooo wanting Harry to survive the series. I do think he really could
be the DADA who stays.... *sniff* Hogwarts is only home...
