Well, magic items to acomplish things made with a wand have sense. I can see
some the practical reasons.
a) You may not want to repeat a spell. Sounds silly, but we use a lot of
things just to work less.
b) You don't have to learn the spell by heart. This could be useful if what
you want to do requires a lot of spells to do the same thing, or if you
aren't used to them and don't want to learn them.
c) You are not able to perform the spell, but with an item you don't need to
be a good wizard to do it.
I'm not talking about Put-Outer in here, just giving practical reasons for
lots of magical objects to exist.
Do they serve you?
