Actually, I have read the story, but still didn't think about it. I
might be because the boards and forums seem to focus on the Epic and
the Original, not on nods to previous greats. Also, it was the
sixties, aka way before my time. Star Wars and LotR, the most popular
comparisons have gotten alot of publicity lately, but nobody reads
the old masters anymore.
