I thought about it carefully and I came to the conclusion that the only
way for JKR to satisfactorily close the series is to have Harry be killed
by VM after all, in his final year of Hogwarts.
If you ask me, Harry doesn't have much to live for with Sirius gone. He
is going to live a very lonely life and I don't think he will ever be
able to succeed in a relationship. His is a bitter and difficult life...
as you can see at the end of the book, where he wants to run away from
anything and everything Harry.
To satisfactorily end the series, I think that Harry will end up being
killed, after a *very* heroic battle, and the very final chapter of the
last book will be of him having a reunion in the next world with Lily,
James, and Sirius.
I also think that Dumbledore will be dead by then, so he will have him
for company "up there" too. I don't want to dare to speculate who else
from the HHGR "chevra" (to borrow a Hebrew term for gang/crew) will be
there too, by then.
I really don't see how JKR can satisfactorily end the series on only 7
books. What, will it end with Harry satisfactorily slaughtering
Voldemort, holding his head aloft like some overgrown snitch, and then
riding off into the sunset on his broom, leaving us all to wonder whom
he's gonna marry, what his adult life will be, etc., etc.? Nah, The best
way for her to finish the series is to reunite Harry with his loved ones,
and whoever else gets killed in books 6 and 7 during the Second Voldemort
War.....
My humble two sickles...
