Me:
I, too, am feeling very down about the death of Sirius. It gives me
a hollow feeling. My hope for Sirius was that eventually his name
would be cleared, and we could get to know him as a free man. He'd
been in prison or on the run for most of his adult life. Call me
sentimental, but I wanted him to get a job, have a romance, etc. And
for women [at least, this woman], let's face it, he was sexy: a cool
guy [at least when he wasn't brooding] with a sense of humor and long
black hair who loves his godson. Rowling had to know women would go
for this guy. Then why, oh why, did she kill him off? And not to
mention the fact that Harry has lost yet another parental figure. Is
this poor kid ever gonna catch a break? [LOL, I'm ranting about a
fictional character, I know!]

My wishful thinking: Sirius just disappeared; he's actually in
another dimension somewhere. He'll be reunited with Harry early in
Book 6! [Blah, I know it won't be that easy, though!]

Sharon, who is *trying* to focus on the good stuff [e.g., the
development of Ginny as a "Harry-worthy" character!]
