Me:
Yep, he kept hexing Snape, when Snape attacked him. Snape knew better
to attack James in front of Lily. He'd lose his filthy mudblood
defender then, if he was provoking James.
And I never denied James had multiple victims, but I do submit he did
leave them alone when he "got it."
But hey, if you want to believe James stayed a 15-year-old brat for
the rest of his life, that's cool.
But Lily DID marry him. He DID become Head Boy. He DID become a
respected member of the Order of the Phoenix. He DID give his life
trying to save Lily and Harry.
I believe that if James were alive and found out Harry was being a
bully, (which could have happened, had Harry grown up rich and in a
family of wizards) he would be horrified.
As I've said, I wonder how many people can stand to be judged based
on their 15-year-old selves.

-- And any time Snape, or anyone else, let loose with a "filthy
mudblood," I would have done Scourgify MYSELF.
