I'm not judging 23-year-old James by 15-year-old James. I'm sating
15-year-old James' action are not excused because he became 23-year-
old James.
At 23, I'm firmly on James' side.
At 15, I'm on Snape's.
At 17, I believe I'm on Snape's. I don't believe James made any
special effort to quit picking on Snape. He quit picking on
everyone else because he was less of a bully and he didn't harbor
any special dislike for them. He didn't even try because he didn't
like Snape in the first place. At least, that's the impression I
got.
