Personally, I thought it was a combination of Snape's goading of 
Sirius, his inability to forgive MWPP and the resulting end in 
Occlumency lessons, and the fact that Snape (through no fault of his 
own) destroyed Harry's opinion of MPP being his idols in everything.

Alon, who will be trying out for playing Bass for "The Tonks" ;)
